OLD FORT, NC – Friends of the Mountain Gateway Museum (FOTMGM) will host a fundraiser
yard sale on Saturday, October 15, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the museum, 24 Water St., in Old Fort.
All proceeds will benefit Mountain Gateway Museum & Heritage Center’s Education Program
Ten-foot-square booth spaces are available for $10 each. Spaces will be located along Water
Street and around the museum’s log cabins. Vendors can find booth application forms at the
museum, online at www.mgmnc.org or from any FOTMGM board member.
Set-up will begin at 7 a.m. and should be completed by 8 a.m. Vendors must provide their own
tables, chairs, and/or tents. After unloading, vendors will need to move their vehicles to the field
behind the yellow Mauney House, 139 Catawba Ave., Old Fort. Museum parking spaces along
Water Street will be reserved for buyers and museum visitors.
No alcohol, firearms, tobacco or animals may be sold at the yard sale. All unsold items must be
removed by 1 p.m.
The Old Fort Ruritan Club will sell hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, and drinks during the yard sale.
They will be set up under the gazebo in front of the museum.
