Richard C. Setteducati
1928-2023

On Thursday, January 19, 2023 at the age of 94, Richard C. Setteducati passed away at Hospice of Carolina Foothills in Forest City, NC. Richard was born in Bronx, NY on January 26, 1928 to the late Charles Setteducati and Marie Cipollar Setteducati. Richard later moved to Rochester MA and was a Science teacher for the Old Rochester High School for 31 years.  He also was a ski instructor for many of the kids in the area. Before his career in education, Richard served in the United States Army during World War II. Not long after marrying the love of his life, Patricia, Richard retired as a teacher from the State of Massachusetts. After his retirement, Richard and Patricia enjoyed time together going skiing in the winter and camping in the summer. Richard and Patricia moved to Nebo, NC in 2009 and became members of Missionary Alliance Church of Marion. He also briefly taught at Marion Christian Academy.  Richard enjoyed wood working and working on their home in MA. He had a passion for Creation and teaching it to others.  Richard will be missed for the loving and caring person that he was.

Surviving Richard are his wife, Patricia Setteducati; two daughters, Gina Tritschler of BadSoden, Germany, and Diane Setteducati of Boston Massachusetts; three grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Missionary Alliance Church of Marion with Pastor Jeff Hober and Rev. Paul Adelgren officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the funeral service at the church from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  Following the funeral service, the committal service will be held at Western Carolina State Veteran Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Army.
